{PICS} 2015 UK GLAMOUR WOMAN OF THE YEAR AWARDS

This was a busy week  and we, at TOLAH’s International News & Red Carpet Coverage  Correspondent desk, are struggling to catch up with all these numerous red carpets events *pouts*.   Anyway, let’s end the week with some A-list fashion hits and misses  at the 2015 Glamour Woman of the Year Awards which were  held at Berkeley Square Gardens, London on Tuesday night. With that said, let me leave it to TOLAH Fashion Police as usual……..

Starting with my favourite looks of the night…
Scandal/The Fixer’s Kerry Washington took home the Best International Actress Award and landed the cover for the magazines July issue. Hot mama this one.

Another winner for the night, Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco who won the Comedy Actress prize. Love her simple dress, the material looks nice.
Lovely couple..The Saturday’s Rochelle Humes with yummy hubby.

Vintage Vibes: Gaby Logan (top)  in some fish net inspired outfit. I love it! And Louie Redkamp (in blue dress) in blue…love the tassles…gives me the disco vibes!

Alex Jones with Hubby, Charlie Thompson. Love her dress though it looks so simple for the red carpet.
Another nice but too simple for the red carpet outfit..Big Brother Host Emma Willis with hubby Matt Willis. Seems like wearing a suit and sneakers is the in thing…

Love the colour of these dresses. Kate Hudson (Top) who won the Entrepreneur Gong award with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

One of my favourite artists, Leona Lewis (top) looking  gorgeous in stripes. In the white frock is Jameela Jamil, not really my best dressed, but I love the shoes *side eyes @ Ngoana*.

Now on to the fashion misses of the night…….

(Top) Solo Artist Award winner, Elle Goulding in black…this dress yimbi shem and that 1990 figure belt is not helping…posing with her hubby in very tight jeans.  (bottom) Games of Throne star, Maisie Williams. Her feet gives me Builders Warehouse vibes..she can come sit with me. Is that a gift box inspired hand bag?
Pregnant dotis were represented by Fearne Cotton who won Top Radio Personality.

(Top Now this is proper vintage! Those butterfly wings on the shoulders are a no!no!
(Bottom) How did these two score an invite? You can see, all they wanted was the goodie bags….that bomber jacket and hotpants are a disaster!

And the winner for worst dressed goes to M.O. Group..representing  all the Shukokai Karate members out there…Hello dali *waves @ Mamolao*

Enjoy……

[PICS]…….2015 CFDA AWARDS

This past Monday marked the biggest event in Hollywood, the CFDA Fashion Awards, held at AlicTully Hall at Lincoln Center. I will leave it to TOLAH Fashion Police……..
Thatha Kimnye! I am no fashionista but  Kanye’s shirt gives me those karate gown vibes. The madam is on some full panty and bra as usual..she likes sheer outfits this one. Must be nice when you have such a killer body, bought or not. Is it just me or Kim is already showing?

I don’t understand what madam Williams is wearing. She doesn’t respect the red carpet this one. I like her fashion sense (sometimes) but from this blue Checkers dish cloth, I give her a 2.

Mafikeng’s dad with Pharrel

Jhene Aiko..udume ngani? She opted for the red gown by Designer Prabal Gurung, posing by her side.

My girl Taraji Henson must have a busy schedule..attending  events left, right and centre! That slit is called ‘’Fotsek Matsale serope ke same’’ in my home town  (votsek mother-in law) lol. Apparently meaning, MIL has no say…that’s your thigh and you serving/showing it nomakanjani .

Janelle Monae was there serving serious sexy legs and her signature afro hairdo. Love this girl! She can never do wrong in my eyes!

June Ambrose decided to go the Naija route, with turban and all…I think she need ‘’Gele Tying’’ lessons from @ Marcus’Wife.

Ethiopian-born model Liya Kebede…beautiful girl

Thatha African Original! Alek Wek accompanied by her toothpick sized legs! Is that shoe 2 sizes bigger?

When a Designer cant even dress themselves! Designer, Tracey Reese

Singer and Song writer Tinashe Kachingwe..love her over-sized cardigan. For a Shona girl in Hollywood, she has made  a name for herself.  Foreigners slowly but surely prospering in the US.

Busted:South Africans caught abroad with Drugs

Nolubabalo Nobanda, Tessa Beedge, Elize De Jager & Taran Louise Chukwu are just some of the names of South AFrican Women caught in foreign countries trying to smuggle drugs into the countries. Using methods like hiding the narcotics is hair disguised as dreadlocks, sewing the drugs into the luggage bags and even pretending to be pregnant while hiding said drugs in fake tummies has not stopped the officials from catching these women.

These are people who, despite having bright futures ahead have opted to be drug mules. The quest to get rich quick and the greed of wanting the good life at zero to little cost. They then get caught in these foreign lands and start crying foul at how the government cares none about helping them out of the situations that they find themselves in. But why? How?

Is it really greed? Most of the drug mules claim they had no idea their luggage contain nacotices, as in the case of Tessa Beetge who claimed she had no idea that Sheryl Cwele had set her up by sending her to collect luggage that happened to be narcotics despite there being a tell-tale sign that she was in this knowingly. Or with Nolubabalo claiming she had been forced/threatened into taking the  drugs to Brazil. I don't know but dong braids is such a time consuming exercise for it to be something not consented to let alone a design made to accommodate packets of coke.

Are they bait? It is said that these mules that get caught, are actually not the transporters but a distractions. You see once they catch "the bait", the officials will be too busy dealing with her that the real transporter carrying more drugs will make a clean pass through customs without a glitch. These are the protected people that even airport security do their best to ensure they are not touched.

With all this being said, is it worthy? Is one's life worth a thousand IG posts paid for by drug transportation that one is not sure of when all will end?

My Weekend in one paragraph

Happy post pay day Monday, welcome back.

First of all, I would like to express how happy I am that the comrades marathon was won by South African runners, both the male and female races. I hope there are not doping scandals that follow the winners like the dude from Limpopo. What happened to him anyway? I see they're mentioning him at all.

My weekend was epic with the highlight being me going to a traditional Tsonga wedding in rural North West. I will load the video later as soon as I learn how to.

People stuck to the Traditional Tsonga Theme
The Setup: Who said JC Le Roux isn't Champagne?
