As we all know that I am at my phase of dating and this is something I am not used to. I am used to being in a relationship with one MAN therefore I had to do some research on just dating nje and not catching feelings....

 Now what? You had a fun night being in various stages of undress together. So, that means you’re dating, right? Nope, not at all.

The truth is you just had sex, that’s it. No one is just going to sleep with you and think, “Wow, this is the person. I want to introduce to my mother.” Keep your cool, have no expectations and have fun!

For all those times of uncertainty, follow this list of things you shouldn’t do after sleeping with someone. Can you count how many mistakes you’ve made?

1. Assuming you’re sleeping over. It takes a big assh*le to kick someone out after a night of drinking, especially if you live across town. Just don’t assume; wait for the invite.
2. Only getting water for yourself and not your hookup
3. Lingering in the morning. Get out before you’re kicked out.
4. Using your hookup’s toothbrush
5. Saying, “That was better than I thought.”
6. Not cuddling
7. Trying to cuddle
8. Going home wearing your hookup’s clothing. Guys must lose so many shirts this way.

Now, don’t get me wrong; I know plenty of people who got into relationships after having sex, but that’s not the case for everyone. Oftentimes, sex is just sex.

I know I personally have wasted so much time hoping a one-night stand would turn into something more. The best advice after a hookup is just to have no expectations. You can’t get hurt if you don’t expect anything.

Everything after sex is a bonus. Let the connection run its course and have fun while doing it!

#TOLAHCHEFS7: Marinated Flank Steak with Chimichurri Sauce

For the Marinade:                                                                                    For the meat:

1/3 cup olive oil                                                                                                       Flank steak
2 cloves garlic, minced                                                                                                       Salt
2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar                                                                                               Pepper
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper      

 Chimichurri Sauce:

1 cup fresh Italian parsley                                                                  1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup fresh coriander                                                                                     1/2 cup olive oil
3 garlic cloves, peeled                                                             3/4 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper   1/2 teaspoon ground cumin                                                                            
 1/2 teaspoon salt              

Method:

                                                                                                                        

Combine the marinade ingredients. Add steak and marinade to a large freezer bag, seal bag, and turn to coat the steak well. Chill and marinate for at least 2-3 hours or overnight. Remove steak from marinade and sprinkle each side generously with coarse salt and freshly ground pepper (this will give you a savory crust). Place steak on the hot grill (coated with oil).  When the steak has cooked to your preference, remove from the grill and place on a cutting board. Cover with aluminum foil and let rest for 10 minutes.* Make very thin slices, against the grain, and at a slight diagonal so that the slices are wide. Chimichurri Sauce: Puree all ingredients in a food processor until everything is well blended. Transfer to a bowl and cover until ready to use. (it’s advisable to make this in advance in order for flavours to intensify). Store chimichurri, covered and refrigerated, for up to two days. Before serving, let stand at room temperature. Serve with roasted vegetables or salad greens.      

NOTE:

• When preparing thick steaks, start by scoring your meat with a sharp knife – scoring is a process where you make several shallow cuts into both sides of the steak to allow both heat and seasoning to penetrate into the meat.      
• If you are marinating then do so for at least 2-3 hours. Marinating overnight always gives the best flavours though. The steak should be covered after cooking to allow the steak’s juices to redistribute and avoid dryness. …sometimes proper planning can actually save you countless hours which you can then spend cutting Bhut’Bae’s nails, polishing his shoes or setting up in those fancy R400+ trays from @Home etc...

Weekend roundoff

*Drunk post alert.*

As I type this, I just got home from club hoping with Qondi, Nekesa & some real life friends who aren't bloggers, sleep has been a myth. I have already drunk dialed my recent ex and let him know he ain't shit, driven around jozi like a race track driver, took selfies and made friends with some of Jozi's A - listers without breaking a nail. You see an international troll aka Nekesa was in town and I neglected to spend time with said troll so when Sunday came it was time to make amends.

First stop was Soweto; tourists, when in RSA all they want to do is kiss the ground and go to Vilakazi street. Think like a tourist,  choose an attraction in Soweto and you bet your bottom dollar Nekesa wanted to see it and pose next to or in it. She even bought souvenirs, how typical and embarrassing. *RME*

Then we went to Vilakazi street and found ourselves drinking cocktails including one called Zonke. Listen......... Let's just say very few alcoholic beverages were left out of that concoction. This led to us joining the notorious party animal, The Qondsta. I swear I knew this was as bad as a death wish. We met her in Maboneng chilling and looking sexy in leather shorts that got Nekesa's lesbian tendencies on super horny, Dear God that Nekesa has thirst and it is directed at girls. When our Maboneng venue closed we moved to Mellville, I will tell you the name of the place once I remember , don't judge I'm awaiting soberity. This is where we met some celebs and beautiful people such as  Samkelo Ndlovu, Somizi Mhlongo, Olwethu; originally from etv and now a popular club dj;  and Jafta Mamabolo from the original generations cast who played Mathew. Our one friend was such a wet blanket, I had to take her home in Orlando. When I got home, I received a spiritual call from Social Link, so off I went to go burn some takkies with some Carvella wearing peeps.

Shout out to Olwethu *wink*. Child what you did there with that biker was not a hero move, these things have potential to end horribly.
