Easter Holidays fun

Don't know what to do this Easter weekend, I have put together a few things that might be of interest to you.

If you are in Cape Town:

The Twelve Apostles Hotel is hosting Easter Sunday Lunch and High Tea. Hosted at the elegant Azure Restaurant, the special lunch, which starts at 12:30pm, features a decadent buffet spread with all the trimmings. What’s more, while parents relax after the feast, the little ones will be kept entertained with an exciting Easter egg hunt and the search for chocolate-y treats. Aside from the lunch, over the holiday weekend (from Friday, 3 to Sunday, 5 April 2015), the hotel will be offering a special high tea that includes an assortment of Easter-inspired pastries and snacks matched with a fine selection of fragrant brews – this will be available both in The Leopard Bar and The CafĂ© Grill between 10am and 4pm. COST: The Sunday lunch costs R R415p/p for adults and R215p/p for kids under 12 years of age. Booking for this is essential, and reservations can be made by contactingrestaurants@12apostles.co.zaThe special Easter-themed high tea is priced at R195p/p.

The V&A Waterfront together with the Easter bunny will be entertaining kids with Face paintings, photo takings, meet and greets and a lot of other activities. There is no charge for this event so even if you are on a no budget, you can still take the little ones to have fun.

If you will be in Jozi:

The Rand Easter Show starts on the 3rd and carries on until the 12th April. This event has grown over the years and features shows and perfomances from various artists as well as exhibitors who showcase furniture. A true family outing as mommy can do her home shopping while the young ones run around enjoying all the activities.

The Nissan Easter Festival is being held at The Kyalami Equestrian Park, 1 Dahlia Road Kyalami at the moment and will end on the 6th April. A village market type of set up with plenty of food, jumping castles rides and entertainment for children. There will also be a display of all nice and fancy cars for the car enthusiast.

These are just the few events I am aware of. Please, do share what you will be doing this weekend with our fellow trolls.

Hot Boyz

There's something about a good looking man that makes me weak at the knees. Whether whats attractive to you lies in the appearance, the way  he dresses, he smells, a great body, smart mind or a HUGE bank balance. We can all admit, well some of us can, that these God given creators can turn our worlds right side up, give us butterflies in our tummies and make us forget any form of logic.

This is just a list of a few African hotties in the spotlight, although I wouldn't date any of these  (hot boys scare me), I don't mind drooling over them every now and then.
Andile Gumbi
Andile Gumbi: Acts as Zweli; the son of Bhekifa the king; on iSibaya. He is also a singer, dancer and model. All I can say is he can gerrrrrit. skoen too! He also acted in The Lion King In Australia....
Andile Mxakaza
I first started noticing him on Zone 14. Turns out he is a mode; need I even mention this with a body like that? He is now parading his hotness on iSibaya as Fezile; Qondi's ex. I hate seeing their scenes because I loved them as a couple, they were so cute.
D'Banj
An award winning Nigerian Singer/songwriter, recently rumored to be dating Bonang Matheba. I wonder what happened to that. His name is actually a combination of his name Dapo and surname Oyebanjo.
Djebril Didier Zonga
This hotty is well known for being the face of Aramis.... Yummyness all over nje
Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk
But this guy could have played around with his name too, like D'banj. Anyway, you can't be hot and be expected to be practical with life things. This Nigerian singer/songwriter rose to fame after winning the 2008 MTN Project Fame West Africa
Lulo Cafe
Sbari, stoko samo gae is a well-known club and recording DJ. He is more known for his Casanova ways and soft lips. Not forgetting having and hiding a relationship with actress Omuhle Gela who hit back at him by cheating and later going on to beg an honest man who paid her back by buying her an apartment, something our Casanova isn't capable of. Anyway, he can still gerrrrit or got it la ekhaya!
Maps Maponyane
Before I knew much about him, I thought he was related to Robert Marawa. To me they look so alike; I am not starting anything here, just saying nje kiiiiii; yet are not related. He is the son of the legendary Marks Mponyane. Maps is a presenter and model. Can he gettit ladies?
Wizkid
A Nigerian recording artist. A hot one at that.

Basic Rules of Table Manners

A few tips and rules for basic table manners...
Napkins should be placed on the lap as soon as you are seated. When you get down from the table, leave the napkin, unfolded on the table, to the left of the place setting.
Sit a comfortable distance away from the table, so that with the elbows bent the hands are level with the knives and forks.
Sit up straight, sit square with hands in the lap and do not fidget. Do not put elbows on the table.
If you are served a meal that is already on the plate, wait until everyone has been served before picking up your cutlery, unless invited by your host to start.
Make sure others have been offered anything they might want from the table, such as butter, water, salt or pepper. Help yourself last and never stretch across people.
Do not begin eating until everyone has been served, unless the host or hostess gives their permission for diners to start.
Eat at a relaxed pace and pace yourself to match your fellow diners.
Keep your mouth closed and try to avoid making noises of any kind while eating, either with implements against the plate or teeth, or with actual ingestion of the food, eg slurping soup.
Talking while there is food in your mouth should be avoided at all costs - even when you have a conversational gem up your sleeve.
When you have finished, place your knife and fork - with the tines facing upwards - together on your plate.
If you are confronted with a plateful that is not to your taste, try to soldier on to avoid hurt feelings. Always compliment the cook.

My weekend round up

Happy Monday, hope we are all well rested and no debit orderes bounced in the name of Turn' ups.

My weekend: started off with a shot'left nyana on Friday to spend some time with my mother's side of the family. Always so refreshing to be centre of attention. The main reason though for this shot'left was not all good news, turns out my mom is having a serious cancer scare and is having to go to tests and as we wait, the family feels it time to bond just in case the worst is revealed. Of course as families go, peace is always a myth but I'm glad my gran allowed me my seat by her skinny curve and I could still sit and we did the traditional stuff where she tells me about my childhood. Took a drive back to Jozi on Sunday, got home and attempted to watch Sunday TV.

Watched Miss SA2015, OPW and then a bit of Rockville Season Finale. All I can say about the latter is soccer age has made it shem.

TOLAH would like to congratulate Liesl Lurie for winning Miss SA 2015. What do you guys think of her as the reigning queen of SA?
